Description:

Join us for a frightfully fun evening of Christmas ghost stories. Librarians Robert Anderson and Christa Deitrick from the Central Library literature & fiction department and Edendale librarian Daniel Tures will discuss the ghostly history of the holiday, which led to the vogue for ghost stories during the Victorian magazine boom, as portrayed by writers like Charles Dickens and Washington Irving. They will also perform a favorite Christmas ghost story. Bring your own candlestick and/or lantern.

The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
