In 2022, gaming has advanced far enough that Virtual Reality games are fully supported. The hottest game to hit the market is the MMPORG "Sword Art Online." Once inside, though, players find themselves trapped in the game...and the only way out is to beat it. If you die in the game...you die in real life. This first arc of the series follows the players Kirito and Asuna as they work their way through the game's dungeons to the final boss battle...and to freedom, if they can survive.
