You will be rewarded for your efforts. Ms. Robinson is the published author of a number of books, including "With a Cast of Thousands", "Bed/ Time/ Story", and "Star Country". She has also written for "The New York Times", "Vanity Fair", and "People". Ms. Robinson just returned from Great Britain, where she has been teaching writing for some years. This is a great opportunity for aspiring writers to meet and work with an experienced colleague. Come show her what you can do!

    A short intro of what henna is, where it is from and how it is used. Each participant chooses a design that is appealing and/or significant to them (as well as the placement of their chosen design). The henna is then applied, while Amaya draws and talks about the designs and any symbolism they might have, as well as cultural connotations. Each participant then receives instruction in after-care.

Resources:

Electronic Resources – All branch libraries provide free access to computer workstations which are connected to the Library's information network. In addition to providing Internet access, these workstations enable the public to search LAPL's many electronic resources including the online catalog, over 100 subscription databases, word processing, language learning, literacy and a large historic document and photograph collection. Specially designed Web sites are provided for children, teens and Spanish speakers.
