Zine Making Workshop For Teens

About the Event

Zines are self-published works of original or appropriated texts and images, usually reproduced via photocopier. Zine topics can include poetry, photos, cartoons, fan fiction, bios, essays, politics, short stories, drawings, collage, paintings, recipes, interviews, "how-to" guides, etc. Participants are taken through a simple step-by-step, follow-along demonstration of making an 8-page booklet from a single sheet of standard 8 1/2" x 11" paper and are encouraged to begin creating their own zines. Ages 11-18.

For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
