About the Event
To celebrate the Central Library’s 100th anniversary, let's learn how to bind our own accordion-style artist book. This simple, experimental binding uses book board and book cloth, and is great for art books. No stitching is needed, just glue. Your finished book can be a sketchbook, planner, or gift. We'll briefly cover the history of bookbinding, then make covers, wrap them, and glue everything together. Perfect for beginners, no experience needed.
Space is limited. Please register by November 3.
This program is made possible with the generous support of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
For disability-related accommodations, please call (213) 228-7430 at least five business days prior to the event. The City will make every effort to accommodate requests received with less notice.
