Scrapbooking Our Family Histories
About the Event
Get crafty while preserving your family history with scrapbooking! Thinking beyond the family tree, engage with new modes of visualizing your genealogical research or personal archiving project. All supplies will be provided and you are encouraged to bring your own, if desired. Bring up to three items (photographs, ephemera) to digitize and print with an archival scanner and use on your scrapbook pages.
Please arrive early to begin scanning and printing before the scrapbooking activity. If something is especially precious, we encourage you to bring a copy or surrogate to prevent damage or loss.
The Crafters Clubhouse founded by artists & designer Victoria Ansah is a no pressure, no perfection based co-crafting 3rd space where adults can gather to make, learn, and connect through arts and crafts. Designed to be a welcoming space for beginners, experienced makers, and anyone looking for an offline community built around creativity & self expression.

The Los Angeles Public Library offers this program as part of a month-long series centering personal archiving, presented by Community: Your Archive, Your Legacy, an initiative supported by the Library Foundation of Los Angeles and funded by the Mellon Foundation.
