About the Event
Hollywood Library celebrates 120 years of service this year and you are invited to the party! Coincidentally, 2026 also marks 40 years since our current building, the Frances Howard Goldwyn branch, opened its doors to the public. We have a full day of activities planned to commemorate this special year.

Hollywood Glamour Shots
Choose your 1980s themed backdrop and props. We will snap and print your photograph.

Forgotten Hollywood Presentation
Author Manny Pacheco discusses the fascinating local history of the region and entertainment industry.
- 12 noon-1:30 p.m.
Docent Tour of the Building and Vintage Film Poster Exhibit
Learn about the history of the Hollywood Library in all its iterations. The tour wraps up with a viewing of some of our rare vintage film posters and interesting info about the movies they depict.
We almost never display these archival posters. Now is your chance to see them up close and personal.
- 2 p.m.-2:40 p.m.
Hollywood Trivia Competition
Form teams of up to 4 participants and lock in. Our quizmaster will test your knowledge of all things local history, the Hollywood film industry, plus authors and literature connected to the city. The winning team collects a prize.
