About the Event

Directed by Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers and Kathleen Hepburn, this film won a Best Canadian Feature Film, Honourable Mention at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). Two indigenous women, Rosie and Aila, meet on a Vancouver street as Rosie flees her abusive boyfriend. Taking place in real time and shot in several long continuous takes this film takes a magnifying glass to a crucial afternoon in these two women’s lives.
