Learn to grow your own food from a balcony to the backyard!

Whether you are a first-time gardener or a seasoned green thumb, join urban farmer and educator Elliott Kuhn for an in-depth presentation on how you can start your own journey from seed to table. Organic gardening basics will be covered which address soil and site preparation, container gardening, seed starting and other propagation methods, seasonal planting and harvesting, integrated pest management, succession planting for extended harvest, fruit trees and orchard considerations, irrigation, and the importance of pollinators. 

Participants will be treated to fresh produce samples and have the ability to take select seeds home to start their own garden projects. A comprehensive resource guide will be provided which will complement the PowerPoint presentation and discussion.

You must sign up in advance: Literacy tutors are available Mondays and Wednesdays for grades K-6.

Come listen to a story or practice reading with a STAR volunteer. This program is 1:1 or small groups and geared towards kids 4-6.

Children are invited to share the joy of reading with our STAR volunteer. Come three times and take home a free book.

Join us for storytime with scarves, shakers, songs, and more. Open for kids 0-5.
