Teen Council & Study Lounge

Join a group of your peers in making a difference at the library! Teen Council is an opportunity to develop leadership skills, meet other teens, and collaborate on other projects all while you earn community service hours. Ages 11-19 (still in high school if 19) are welcome to join.

Need a calm, quiet place to catch up on assignments and prep for exams during the school year? Come for Teen Council then hang out after to make use of the space for solo or group study sessions (and, yes, earn community service credit for doing so).

Just show up to a meeting to join Teen Council or reach out to the Young Adult Librarian, Evette, by emailing silver@lapl.org for more information.

FYI: Teen Council takes a holiday hiatus in November and December (no meetings during these months).
