15 Thursday Tattoos and Piercing World Tour
4:30 PM @ Central Library
Time to prepare for Summer Reading by finding out the tattoo and piercing customs of different countries. What's the difference between a man having a piercing in his left or right ear lobe? Do people in Ireland get Celtic tattoo bands? What about Koi fish in Japan? We'll talk about piercing, tattooing and the best shops all over the world. Refreshments will be provided.

17 Saturday Student Smart: SAT Practice Test
10:00 AM @ Central Library
Are you ready to take the SAT exam? Princeton Review will administer a full-length test. To sign up for the test call Teen'Scape at 213-228-7290. The follow-up session to review your test scores will take place on Saturday, May 31 in Teen'Scape at 1pm.

Traveling to different countries can be expensive and confusing. We'll make it easier for you to prepare for a trip in advance, find maps, search for inexpensive boarding, transportation and more! Refreshments will be provided.

31 Saturday Student Smart Seminar: Getting Into the College of Your Choice

Find out what it takes to get into the most competitive universities. Do you know what your competition is like for the most selective schools in the country? This workshop will cover details about the application process, Early Decision/Early Action, and how test scores are only a part of the college selection application process.

T-Shirts. Is there a more boring piece of clothing? But no more. We'll teach you how to cut and paste (or sew) that boring t-shirt into an awesome work of wearable art. Some t-shirts and decorating material will be provided, but bring your own to make it personal. Refreshments will be provided.
