Simon Goodman, author of The Orpheus Clock: The Search for My Family's Art Treasures Stolen by the Nazis, will discuss his personal journey and the discovery of the family's remarkable history.
Goodman's grandparents, the Gutmanns, were one of the most powerful banking dynasties in Europe. But when the Nazis came, their artwork was confiscated and his grandparents perished in concentration camps. Decades later, when his father died, Goodman inherited the family papers. Unraveling this mystery became his life's work.
