Librarian Brian Cunningham will be in conversation with So Yun Um, a Korean American filmmaker and digital content producer born and based in Los Angeles.

We will be discussing Wayne Wang's landmark debut film Chan Is Missing (1982), which you can stream via Kanopy in advance of our talk. We'll also be discussing Asian American cinema more broadly, as well as So's experience producing her own short film, Liquor Store Babies, about her (and her friend's) experience growing up in Los Angeles to liquor store owner parents.
