On Saturday, February 6th the LAPL Musicians performed A Saturday Serenade to an enthusiastic audience in the Taper Auditorium. This program featured highlights from George Gershwin, Frank Loesser, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Camille Saint-Saens and Jacques Offenbach. There was also a world premiere from one of the featured musicians, Alan Westby.

In this short video Alan Westby plays the second movement of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s “Clarinet Concerto in A, K. 622” with accompaniment from Bob Anderson. Tammy Jenkins sings “Summertime” from George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess with accompaniment from Bob Anderson. Alan Westby’s “Lakes and Rivers” is also performed by Tammy Jenkins, Alan Westby, Vi Ha and Bob Anderson.
