Thomas Pynchon's latest, Bleeding Edge debuts in the number one spot on the Los Angeles Times Hardcover Fiction list this week. Bleeding Edge is a Pynchon version of a detective novel set in New York in the days before and after September 11, 2001. Nelson DeMille also hits the best seller list with, The Quest. Originally written in 1975, DeMille has rewritten the book, which is an adventure story about a search for the Holy Grail.
New to the Hardcover Nonfiction list is Linda Ronstadt's memoir, Simple Dreams which comes in at #3.
On the Paperback Fiction list this week the #1 book is Where'd You Go, Bernadette? by Maria Semple while the #1 Paperback Nonfiction book is Proof of Heaven by Eben Alexander (only 1 hold).
