For The Love of Reading

Book pages forming a heart and text that reads "for the love of reading"

Reading has been my favorite pastime for most of my life. Curling up with a good book and a cup of tea, is one of my favorite things. However, my reading experience has changed over the last 7 years as I have been transitioning into e-books. I still read paper books but I enjoy having the flexibility to switch between formats. I do not see e-books as replacing my paper book experience – I only see more options for reading convenience and I like that.

I enjoy how e-books make storage a lot easier. Additionally, my tablet is much easier to carry around, as opposed to a tote bag of books. I do like the instant access of e-books as well. Occasionally I've been unable to retrieve the paper copy of the title that I wanted, but the e-book version was just a click away.

One way my e-reading experience has become more enjoyable recently, is by using the new Libby app. The Libby app is a new mobile app from OverDrive. It can be used in addition to the Overdrive app, or as a replacement. Libby is designed to provide a simple, yet elegant user experience for current and new users alike. I find it fun and enjoyable to use as an experienced user.

I like reading fast-paced science fiction or thrillers the most in e-book form. However, I also occasionally read non-fiction e-books about politics and current affairs. Below are some of my favorite titles that I've only read as e-books. These books are an eclectic mix of sci-fi, suspense and non-fiction. Here's to the love of reading!

What are some of your favorite e-book titles?
