On every September 18, readers around the world share their love of e-books during Read an E-Book Day. You can celebrate by sharing a post about your favorite e-book with the hashtag #ebooklove on your social media accounts. However, If you’ve never tried reading an e-book before, today is the perfect time to try one out! Borrow one of your favorite books or something completely new. Borrowing e-books from the library, make it easier for you to access great stories, anytime, anywhere. If you have a smartphone, tablet or computer you can connect to a world of literature on your couch, on an airplane or anywhere in between. You can save luggage space with e-books when traveling; they also can’t be lost. Borrowing e-books from the library means never having to remember to return them—they return on their own.

You can begin by downloading the free Libby app to your smartphone or tablet, such as an iPad, Android or Windows device. We also have the SimplyE app which makes most of our e-book collections available to you within a single app. In fact, you don’t necesasrily need a special app to start enjoying e-books. You can read e-books within your browser as well, such as on Chrome, Safari or Firefox.
