If you feel like trying your hand at drawing or painting for the first time, or would like to sharpen your talents, the Art, Music & Recreation Department has plenty of resources to get you started. Check out the catalog, or come along and browse the shelves in person to find dozens of titles on different sketching and painting techniques in a variety of different media.
Take things one step further and enroll in one of the great new free classes available online through the Library’s website. Universal Class and ed2go have a great range to choose from, including: Drawing for the Absolute Beginner, How to Paint Landscape / Seascape, Brushstroke Basics, Card Painting, and One Stroke Painting Courses for many subjects. Both these resources can be found via the Library website, in the alphabetical list under Research & Homework.
