Have you written and self-published a novel? Get the recognition you deserve for writing a great book. Los Angeles Public Library is participating in The California Author Project, a statewide contest that seeks to find the best self-published adult or young adult fiction book written by a California resident.

Winners in each category will receive $500 as well as:

  • Inclusion in Indie California, a statewide digital collection of local indie authors
  • A review in Library Journal, one of America’s oldest and most renowned trade publications for library news
  • Honors at the American Library Association’s 2019 Midwinter meeting in Seattle

We are excited to promote this opportunity to the local author community. Submissions are open through June 30, 2018, and a panel of California librarians will judge the work. Enter today!
