Stephen Hawking is one of the most outstanding scientists of our time. The famous physicist and author was born in England on January 8, 1942. When Stephen Hawking was just 21 years old, he was diagnosed with (ALS) amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He had been given only 2 years to live, but he challenged the disease and lived more than 50 years after his diagnoses.
One of Hawking's most important findings was "Hawkings Radiation," the theory that black holes are not completely black after all, but emit radiation that ultimately makes them disappear.
His book Brief History of Time became a bestseller and sold more than 10 million copies.
