	On this day in 1892, Basil Rathbone was born. Rathbone began his career in historical epics, frequently playing sophisticated villains. He is best remembered, though, as the star of fourteen Sherlock Holmes movies released between 1939 and 1946. Most of the movies were set not in Holmes' original Victorian era, but in the present day, and a few of them were explicitly about Holmes fighting Nazis. 	On this day in 1893, President Grover Cleveland asked the White House doctor for advice about a sore spot on the roof of his mouth. The doctor diagnosed a tumor, and two weeks later, Cleveland secretly had surgery on a friend's yacht. The press was told that he was taking a vacation cruise, and the truth was not revealed until 1917. Matthew Algeo's The President Is a Sick Man tells the story of Cleveland's surgery and the elaborate planning that went into keeping it a secret from the public; it's available in print.
	And on this day in 1932, Bob McGrath was born. In the early 1960s, McGrath was a featured singer on the sing-along TV show Sing Along With Mitch. Since 1969, he has been a regular cast member on Sesame Street, one of only two human characters to be with the show for its entire run (so far).
