Legacies of the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles

The 1932 Olympic Games were a very special occasion for the City of Los Angeles as it played host to the world. Eyre Powell, Chamber of Commerce photographer, was asked to supervise a team of photographers chosen to work at the 1932 Games. Six hundred of the images taken by these official Olympic photographers are preserved in the Security Pacific National Bank Collection of the Los Angeles Public Library. They form the basis for this exhibition.
