Description:

In this workshop students learn the basics of the admissions process, attain an understanding of the importance of the college essay in the admissions process, view the common application prompts, and complete a series of writing exercises to help them create ideas for the writing of their essays. Each student also leaves with a worksheet of examples of the right and wrong essays and tips for writing their essays.

Join a “Friends” group. There is a “Friends of the Library” group for most branch libraries and departments of the Central Library. Join the Library Foundation of Los Angeles. The Library Foundation is a non-profit organization that raises funds for Library enhancement programs such as adult and early literacy, children and teen reading clubs, technology, and cultural programs.
