Stuart Goldman will read from his new book, Adventures in Maniac Depression. His first tattoo by famed “fish-artist” Ray Troll is featured on the cover of Goldman’s book.

Jane Getz, will read passages from her just-published book, Runnin' With The Big Dogs.

About the Authors:

Stuart Goldman, former critic at the L.A. Times and the Daily News, served as L.A.Weekly's first Entertainment Editor and had a weekly column at the L.A. Reader. His syndicated column has appeared in over 80 U.S. and European newspapers and is currently read by over one million people every Sunday on Goldman's writings have been published in Los Angeles Magazine, Penthouse, National Review, Los Angeles Magazine, Inside Kung Fu, Variety and The Hollywood Reporter.

Jane Getz is one of the most famous jazz musicians in the world, having played with the likes of Pharoah Sanders, Stan (no relation) Getz, Charles Mingus and Pony Poindexter. Her first book is a fine, funny, and wonderful book which evokes the jazz era of the 1970's, when Jane first debuted on stages across the world.  Today she continues to appear on stages across the U.S. and has a career as a record producer.

In addition, guitarist Bob Tucker will play one classical and two Flamenco tunes between Getz's readings.

The authors will be doing a Q&A after the reading.
