The construction of Persepolis was commissioned by the Persian King Dariush during the Achaemenian Empire in 518 B.C. (85 years before the Greek Parthenon). Join us as author and scholar Mr. Nic Aminisam presents four sections from his book, "Persepolis (Takht-E-Jamshid)" highlighting aspects of this architectual wonder: Section I. Dariush The Great (522-486 B.C.); Section II. Dariush: His Campaign to Europe, and Greek and Persian Conflicts; Section III. Persepolis: a.) Remarks By Scholars, b.) Construction; and Section IV.
