Description:

Dr. Lance Williams, University of California, Los Angeles, will offer an ethnomusicology discussion that centers on the impact of music on the Civil Rights Movement.  Dr. Williams, Ph. D., M.A., B.A., Anthropology, Folklore & Mythology, History, is author of The Anatomy of a Record Company and Legacy of Ray Anderson.  He will incorporate findings from his current project, "Blacks on Blues," examining the impact of the blues on the history of America.
