Description:

In the event of an emergency or police evacuation due to a natural disaster or random act of violence, it is recommended that older adults have at least seven days worth of their own medications with them in a "GO-KIT" along with other survival items.

If you are a senior or a caregiver for one be they a spouse, parent or another loved one, join genrontologist, Ms. Veronica Sanchez-Perez from the City of Los Angeles Department of Aging as she not only demonstrates critical items to include but also will also be giving away 'free' GO-KIT Packs to those who attend to get them started.

Please reserve with us that you will be attending this event with a librarian at the Information (Reference) Desk or by calling 310-575-8323 to ensure that enough free GO-KIT Packs will be available. For ADA accommodations, call (213) 228-7430 at least 72 hours prior to event.
