Description:

Netiquette, Urban Legends, Widgets, Comics, Avatars, Research, Copyright, Powerpoint, Makerspaces, Creative Commons, Gaming, RSS feeds, and Curation are just a few of the topics addressed in this amazing hands-on learning experience! Use these lessons to become an expert! Over 48 workshops available. Workshops address research fluency, global citizenship, and technology.

Recognizing the need for teens to become literate in the use of technology as part of the new Common Core standards, Melissa Rentchler and Lorraine Wiener (writers and holders of copyright on workshop content) have partnered with the Harbor Branch to pilot a series of labs addressing this need. The content is written for teens, but all ages are welcome at the workshop. Feedback on the content from participants of all ages is needed and welcome.
