Author Talk: Abdi Nazemian's The Walk-In Closet joined by Gina B. Nahai

Abdi Nazemian is the screenwriter of The Quiet, Celeste in the City, Beautiful Girl, and the short film Revolution, which he also directed. He is an alumnus of the Sundance Writer’s Lab, a mentor at the Outfest Screenwriter’s Lab, and has taught screenwriting at UCLA Extension. He lives in Los Angeles with his two children, and his dog, Hedy Lamar.
Abdi Nazemian will be joined by Gina B. Nahai, author of Cry of the Peacock at this author talk event. Nahai's novels have been translated into 18 languages and have been recognized by awards from the Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, the Persian Heritage Foundation's Award and others. As a frequent lecturer on contemporary politics of the Middle East, Nahai has been invited to speak on PBS and CNBC along with local news and NPS affiliate KCRW. This author is currently working on a new novel, The Pearl Cannon.
