This is the third staged reading in a series of biodramas written by Mark Weston about the birth of Israel.
After a distinguished career in military and public service in the United States, Marcus was asked to help locate an American military advisor for the new state by David Ben-Gurion. Unable to locate one, he came out of retirement and volunteered himself. Marcus, born David Daniel Mickey Marcus in Brooklyn, is known as the first General of the new Israeli army after the creation of the State of Israel in 1948 and also as the first Jewish general of the Israelites since Judah Maccabee.
This is his story...
