David "Mickey" Marcus was Israel's first modern general. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Marcus was a graduate of West Point and fought for both the United States and Israel, becoming a high-ranking official in both armies. He was killed by friendly fire, when he was mistaken for an enemy infiltrator while returning to Israeli positions at night. He was portrayed in the 1966 Hollywood movie Cast a Giant Shadow by Kirk Douglas. Actor Arnold Weiss brings this performance piece to life.
