The women athletes were luxuriously lodged in the Chapman Park Hotel. Some private rooms were set aside in the hotel for informal relaxing and conversation.

The extensive fence around Olympic Village was patrolled day and night by Vaqueros on horseback. They also entertained the athletes with impromptu rodeos.
