City Librarian John F. Szabo welcomed Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to the Central Library on Friday, December 7 for a press conference at which the Mayor named Eloise Klein Healy the first Poet Laureate of Los Angeles.
This week the Library Foundation of Los Angeles launched "The Library Store On Wheels," a mobile incarnation of the Central Library’s beloved and critically-acclaimed store.
On Oct. 24, Granada Hills Branch Library hosted a party open to the public to celebrate its 50th Anniversary of service. A representative from Councilmember Mitchell Englander's Office issued a Certificate of Recognition to the branch.
