Computer Classes offered at Central Library
Learn How to Maneuver a Mouse, Create an E-Mail Account, Search the
LAPL Catalog, Use a Search Engine and Reserve a Computer--with Free
Computer Classes at the Central Library!
Librarians from InfoNow and the Central Library Subject Departments
teach computer classes for 4-10 people. Classes are held on Tuesdays
and Thursdays from 2:00 - 3:30 and Wednesdays and Fridays from 12:30 - 2:00.
Classes meet at the Carson Center for New Technology, 1st Floor, Main
Building. Patrons can sign up Mon.-Fri. the week the classes are
offered at the Information Desk, First Floor, Main Building. Class
schedules are readily available throughout the building and can be
accessed through the LAPL Events Calendar:

The following classes are being offered this term:
"Computer Comfort" Introduction to the computer mouse and keyboard.
No experience necessary. Mouse skills learned in this class are
required for the other computer classes.
"More Computer Comfort" Introduction to Microsoft Windows and the
LAPL computer reservation system.
"Internet-Google" Introduction to the Internet, World Wide Web and
Google, a major search engine.
"Books, Audios, Videos and more..." Introduction to the LAPL Catalog.
"Creating AOL " Introduction to AOL e-mail. Class limited to four students.
"Managing AOL" Introduction to sending, checking and replying to
e-mails using the AOL account created in the previous class. Class
limited to four students.
