There is a centuries-old Japanese flower arrangement art form, known as Ikebana (生け花, "living flowers"). The word comes from the Japanese word ikeru (生ける, "keep alive, arrange flowers, living") and hana (花, "flower"). Other translations of Ikebana include "arranging flowers" and "giving life to flowers." Please join us for Japanese Flower Arrangement on May 17, 2015, Sunday, from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room A of Central Library, to see this beautiful art form introduced and demonstrated by Ms. Yumiko Kikkawa. It's a free admission and everyone is welcome!
