Authors Kim Wayans and Kevin Knotts visited the Baldwin Hills Branch Library on Aug. 12 and read from their “Amy Hodgepodge” Children’s Book series and answered questions from about 40 area children and their parents. The series explores the life of a multiracial child, who after years of being home schooled, attends public school for the first time and finds it difficult to fit in and make friends. The husband and wife writing team will also host a reading from the series at the Downtown Los Angeles Central Library, 630 W. Fifth St., on Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m.
