        • NASDAQ is a computerized system that facilitates trading and provides price quotations on more than 5,000 of the more actively traded over the counter stocks.         • The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) is based in New York City and is considered the largest equities-based exchange in the world based on total market capitalization of its listed securities. The parent company now also includes the Archipelago electronic exchange and Euronext, the European exchange. Web site offers news, data, reports, directories of company listings, and assistance for investor complaints and inquiries.
        • North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA) is a voluntary association whose membership consists of 67 state, provincial, and territorial securities administrators throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Their fundamental mission is protecting consumers who purchase securities or investment advice, and their jurisdiction extends to a wide variety of issuers and intermediaries who offer and sell securities to the public.
