Book Title: Becoming Naomi Leon
Author: Pam Munoz Ryan
Review: Becoming Naomi Leon was a really fun and exciting book. Naomi was living in her grandmother's small apartment when her mother, Skyla came along and sort of ruined her life. Naomi and her brother Owen are almost separated and their lives become hard. Anyone who reads this book will be pleased with it. It is a really good book because i could not put it down it really made me apreciate my life more!

Book Title: Bunnicula
Author: Deborah & James Howe
Review: The Monroe family has 2 sons named Toby and Pete, a dog named Harold, and a cat named Chester. Unlike this family the dog and the cat like to read and the dog can also write. Out comes the family and they are holding a box with a rabbit in it. They found the rabbit outside of the movie theatre. They had been watching a vampire movie so Toby named the rabbit Bunnicula. The cat, Chester likes to read mystery or scary books and Chester told the dog that one night when he was reading he looked up and saw the rabbit smile at him and but the smile was scary and he thought he saw 2 shiny fangs. Then he heard a caravan of gypsies riding in the forest in a wagon. The rabbit went into the refrigerator and sucked out all the juice from a tomato with his fangs and the tomato turned white. Chester and Harold figured out that Bunnicula is a vampire rabbit because vampires sleep during the day and are awake at night and so is Bunnicula. Also vampires can escape from locked areas and so can Bunnicula. Vampires suck out blood from their prey and Bunnicula sucks out the juice from his vegetables and leaves and vegetable. Chester found a lot of white stuff behind Bunnicula’s cage that turned out to be white dried up veggies. Most of the veggies in the fridge turned white. Chester was trying to acting like a vampire to the Monroe family and trying to tell them that Bunnicula is a vampire. The Monroe’s thought he was acting naughty and so they cuddled with Chester. The next night Chester put garlic over all the floors in the house and Bunnicula didn’t come out of his cage. When the Monroe’s woke up and saw the garlic, the Monroe family said that Chester was acting naughty. Another way Chester was trying to prove that Bunnicula was a vampire was to pound a stake into Bunnicula’s heart but Mrs. Monroe saw Chester and grabbed him to put him outside. Chester got away and got a bucket full of water and tried to spill it on Bunnicula because the book said that if water spilled onto a vampire it would kill him. Chester missed Bunnicula and the water landed on Harold. Mrs. Monroe grabbed Chester and put him outside for the night. Bunnicula was getting sick because Chester wouldn’t let him eat any vegetables. Harold had a plan to let Bunnicula eat. Harold took Bunnicula out of his cage at night and put him next to a full bowl of salad. Bunnicula had a little but then Chester saw him and tried to chase him away. Harold barked and everybody ran to the living room and Chester got in trouble for being in the salad bowl. Toby looked at Bunnicula and realized he was sick. The Monroe’s were going to take Bunnicula dn Harold to the vet. The Monroe’s found out that Bunnicula wasn’t eating enough food and they gave him a liquid diet that was carrot juice. That took care of the problem of sucked out white vegetables. Bunnicula became friends with Harold and Chester.

Review: Armondo was a poor boy because he had no money and if he needs something, he had to help his dad pick up trash and they sold them then they could money. In summer, a man came to teach Armondo and his friends. So Armondo wanted to learn but his dad didn't let him because he had to pick up trash. He tried to learn finally his dad let him go to the blue tarp school. One day, there was bad fire in his village but many people helped them. Now there is real school in there. I want to help poor people.

This was a good book because it was interesting and made me want to keep reading it.

Review: Farewell to manzanar was a great book. It talks about a japanese kid and her family being sent to a camp after the attack of pearl harbor. at the camp they are treated ruffly and had very few food to eat that were barely even humane. when she went to the camp she only went with her father because he was captured at sea. when they finally meet their father, he comes back as a hateful and abusive father. when the camp is ended she looks bath at what the camp was like.
