The Los Angeles Public Library is offering Job Seekers, a series of events to help you build your skills, explore your career choices, and find a job.

Free one-on-one business counseling provided by a SCORE business professional to anyone operating a small business or thinking of starting one.  Please contact Michele Robinson mrobins@lapl.org to schedule your free one hour session.  By appointment only.

January 9, 2018 3:00PM

FREE Tutoring and Job Preparation for K-12 grades in English, History, Science, and Math (up to Algebra 2), including standardized testing. Job Hunt and College Advisement for ages 16-18. Tutors are volunteers and not experts in all subject areas, and will assist students to the best of their abilities. Requirements: 1. Completed application & parental consent form (can be completed at the site) 2. Students must have homework/ assignment/ agenda with them in order to receive support. 3. Students may only attend one tutoring session a week.

Tuesdays from 3:30pm-5:30pm

Girls Who Code is a chance to learn Artificial Intelligence, Graphics, Game Design, Cryptography, Mobile Development, and much MUCH more for 6th through 12th graders. FREE!

Love space? Love science? Keri Bean, Mission Operations Engineer at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory will be speaking to teens and adults about her exciting role on missions and Mars Exploration Rovers.
