Read it First! Film adaptations headed to theatres near you. April 2014 edition

If you've heard it once, you've heard it a million times - the book was better. There's nothing like debating the differences between a favorite book and its translation to the screen. But if you don't know your beloved series is coming out as a movie or that the fun looking preview you saw was adapted from a book, how can you join the debate? The Library to the rescue! Here we will be exploring the movie adaptations soon to hit your local theatres and give you the chance to read before you view.


Coming this April :

Under the Skin film poster featuring a woman's face imposed over a staryy background. In Michel Faber's modern horror story Under the Skin, an otherworldly woman picks up male hitchhikers on the isolated highways of Scotland.

Heaven is for Real film poster which shows the image of a young boy as seen from the back. He is looking out an open door at a sunny, cloud filled sky. After waking from an emergency appendectomy, four year old Colton tells his parents stories of heaven and the people he met while under anesthesia. Relating details he could never have known and messages from relatives he never met, Colton restored his family’s faith. Based on a true account of the same name by Todd Burpo, Colton’s father.
