February 2, 2014 Los Angeles Times Best Sellers Available at the Library

David Kelly, Senior Librarian, Literature & Fiction Department,
Best Sellers

There are two new #1s on the lists this week. After being displaced at the top of the Los Angeles Times Hardcover Fiction Bestseller List last week by The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd, The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt has been re-taken in the #1 spot.  Two books that have hung around the list for over a year are back in the top ten again this week - The Fault in Our Stars by John Green at #3 and Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (297 copies in our system and only 1 hold!).

On the Hardcover Nonfiction List this week, Duty: Memoirs of a Secretary at War by Robert Gates is the new #1, replacing Malcolm Gladwell's David and Goliath. Also debuting on the list this week are A Short Guide to a Long Life by David B. Agus, The Loudest Voice in the Room by Gabriel Sherman and A Year of Miracles by Marianne Williamson.

Click on any title on the list to place a hold on an item free of charge.  You will need to know your library card number and the last four digits of the phone number associated with your card. After placing the hold select the library location to which you want the item sent and we will notify you when it is available for pick up.
