Recently named the winner of the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction, Donna Tartt's The Goldfinch is on top of the Los Angeles Times Hardcover Fiction list for the 22nd week.  On the Hardcover Nonfiction list, the new number 1 book is Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder by Arianna Huffington.

The sole newcomer to the Hardcover Fiction list this week is William Shakespeare's The Empire Striketh Back by Ian Doescher, his latest reimagining of George Lucas' world through the eyes of William Shakespeare.  In addition to Thrive, former President Jimmy Carter's latest book A Call to Action: Women, Religion, Violence, and Power debuts at #5 on the Hardcover Nonfiction list.
