World Music Concert

International Languages Department, Central Library,
Musicians on Stage

We hope you can join us on September 7th for an afternoon of great music!

International Languages Department will be hosting the 2nd World Music Concert by Brazilian composer and guitarist Matheus Poli and his band on Saturday, September 7, 2013 at 2 pm in the  Central Library’s Taper Auditorium.

Mr. Poli and his band had their first concert at the Taper Auditorium on May 11, 2013. The concert was a big success, with more than 140 attendees. On that day, the band played many of Mr. Poli’s original songs, such as “Tropical Rain”, “Faith Like Water”, and “New Beginning”. The audience, of all ages, also enjoyed Spanish, Hindi, African, fusion, Brazilian jazz, and other traditional Brazilian songs. Singers Kim Shahbazian and Mario Rocha’s solo and duet added more excitement and flair to the concert.
