September 8, 2013 Los Angeles Times Best Sellers Available at the Library

The only new book to join the Los Angeles Times Hardcover Fiction Best Seller list this week is Night Film by Marisha Pessl which debuts in the #1 spot. Night Film is a noir mystery involving the investigation of the mysterious death of the daughter of a legendary cult-horror-film director.  Pessl's first book was the best selling Special Topics in Calamity Physics.

On the Hardcover Nonfiction list Zealot by Reza Aslan remains in the top spot.  Scott Anderson's Lawrence in Arabia, the story of the Arab revolt against the Ottoman Empire in World War I is number three on the list.

On the Paperback Fiction list this week the #1 book is Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple while the #1 Paperback Nonfiction book is Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Woman's Prison by Piper Karman.
