Librarians know that libraries change lives. Especially meaningful and important are the one-on-one connections we make with members of our community. That’s why we’re so excited to launch our new Book a Librarian service at Central Library during National Library Week!

Beginning April 14, 2014, any patron will be able to book a free half-hour session with a subject specialist at Central Library. Need help downloading an e-book? Want to learn how to better use our databases? Not sure where to start on your research project? We are here to help you with your information needs.

Book a Librarian sessions are tailored to meet your specific needs. A subject specialist with expertise in your interest area will help you navigate our website, databases, and get you started. This is not a research service, but is a reference service designed to guide you to make best use of our collections and resources.

You can submit an appointment request via the Book a Librarian link on the home page. Got questions? Take a look at the FAQ list. Please remember that our Ask a Librarian service is available to answer any quick or commonly asked questions you may have.

We know there’s a lot of information out there. We have incredible resources and collections--probably a lot more than you think! Please click on the Book a Librarian link on the home page for more details.
