All images included herein are intended for personal use only. Any reproduction, redistribution, publication, or other use, by any means, without prior written permission is prohibited.

Photocopies, copy prints and digital images can be provided. With the proper fees and permissions, many images can be used in commercial and non-profit applications.

ORDERING INSTRUCTIONS
To order photographs displayed on the Library's website, print and complete this order form. 

All orders must be prepaid with a check drawn on a United States bank or by credit card and made out to the Los Angeles Public Library. If paying with a credit card, the completed form can be faxed to (213) 228-7419 or emailed to photos@lapl.org. If paying with a check, the form must be mailed to Photo Collection/Los Angeles Public Library, 630 W. 5th Street, Los Angeles, 90071.

When selecting photos make sure to record the "Order Number" provided in each record. Incomplete order forms will result in a delay in processing. Please note that commercial use fees may apply. Please see below.

DELIVERY TIMES
Requests are processed in the order received. Photographic prints will be available in approximately 2-4 weeks; digital prints, CD's, Zip disks and emailed images in approximately 1 week.

8x10 single weight photographic lab print (may require an additional $35 fee if negative is not available)		$55

Other print sizes and paper types are available. Contact the Photo Collection regarding special orders. Prints over 11x14 must be picked up at the photographic laboratory.

PERSONAL USE FEES
Individuals using the photographs for home decor, research, or other personal uses, need only pay the photographic reproduction fee.

COMMERCIAL USE FEES
Individuals and businesses using the photographs for commercial purposes, including the decoration of business premises, must pay the additional commercial use fees.

In addition to the cost of reproduction, the Library charges the following fees for each image used in:

Advertising and product design (for up to 3 years)		$250
Brochures and flyers		$50
Commercial decor, per image, basic fee for one time use		$200
Commercial decor usage fee for multiple copies per image		$400
Commercial exhibitions (up to 1 year)		$100
Commercial media, including images for use in CD-ROMs, television, video, and films. Basic fees for one time use, one language distribution rights		$150
Basic fees for worldwide, all media, in perpetuity		$300
Industrial in-house, or non-profit presentations		$50
Publications, including printed and electronic magazines, and commercial websites/blogs. All books, including textbooks, books published by academic presses, and self-published books, one edition, one language, all print-runs.		$75
Additional electronic rights for books, including e-books		$75

USAGE AGREEMENTS AND CREDIT STATEMENTS
For personal and commercial uses of the Library's images, the Library will send to the user a Commercial Use Agreement which states access rights to images and copyright restrictions. This agreement must be returned to the library before the order will be processed. It will also state proper credit to be used for the product whenever photographs are used in commercial or non-profit situations.
