Robert Chick, Commissioner , was appointed by the Mayor to the Board of Library Commissioners on September 14, 2001, for the term ending June 30, 2010. He is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Lawyers’ Mutual Insurance Company, and currently serves as a member of the Board of Governors, California Insurance Guarantee Association. Previously, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Aurora National Life Assurance Company; president, Board of Airports Commissioners; and president, Board of Transportation Commissioners. He has a degree in Public Administration from USC and a law degree from Oxford University.
